Job summary

Busy Bees Nottingham City Hospital is seeking a Room Leader to oversee multiple rooms, implement the Bee Curious curriculum, and lead a warm, high-performing team in a Good-rated nursery.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, planning developmentally appropriate activities, and building strong relationships with families while ensuring excellent standards of care and learning. Nottingham location offers accessible facilities and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in early years education (EYFS) is essential.
  • Supervisory experience in a nursery setting is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills are required.

Join our dedicated team at Busy Bees Nottingham City Hospital, an Ofsted-rated Good nursery with a capacity of 96 children. Our bright and welcoming day nursery provides exceptional childcare for children from babies to preschool age, creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.Each room in our nursery features free flow access to spacious individual garden areas, including a beautiful nature garden where children can engage in growing their own fruit and vegetables while exploring mini-beasts and other wildlife. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children.
  • Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership and collaboration.
  • Oversee the development and wellbeing of children, ensuring their progress is tracked and communicated with parents.
  • Take on the role of Key Person, ensuring the holistic development and personal care needs of a group of children.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and secure environment.
Ideal Candidate
  • Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
  • Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience an advantage ideally as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager or Nursery Practitioner.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Passionate about fostering children’s development and creating positive relationships with families.
