Job summary

Busy Bees Nurseries is seeking a Room Leader at our Harrogate Hornbeam Park site to lead and develop a multi-room setting with a focus on high-quality care and learning. You will oversee planning, support a team of room practitioners, and take accountability for children’s progress while delivering the Bee Curious curriculum.

You will contribute to safeguarding, family partnerships, and a welcoming, inclusive environment for all families, while pursuing professional growth within a leading UK

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting with supervisory experience is ideal.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
• Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership.
• Oversee development and wellbeing of children; track progress and communicate with parents.
• Take on the Key Person role to support holistic development and personal care.
• Ensure health and safety standards and maintain a clean, secure environment.

About Our Nursery

Harrogate Hornbeam Park is an Ofsted-rated "Good" nursery with a capacity of 146 children, serving ages from birth to preschool. It was the first purpose-built addition to Busy Bees and offers extensive play resources and activities. The nursery acts as a feeder to several schools in Harrogate, ensuring a smooth transition for children when they move on to school. Children particularly enjoy the investigation station, yoga area, and the self-registration process each morning. The facility also provides free parking.

Key Responsibilities

Ideal Candidate

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience an advantage ideally as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager or Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Passionate about fostering children’s development and creating positive relationships with families.
