Job summary

The Learning Experience in East Finchley is seeking an experienced Room Leader to deliver high-quality care and education in line with EYFS. This is a full-time, permanent role that offers a welcoming team, a supportive environment, and opportunities for funded qualifications and leadership pathways.

You will plan activities, monitor development milestones, liaise with families, and support colleagues to maintain excellent care standards.

Qualifications

• Full & relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification – essential.
• Previous experience in an Early Years setting, ideally as Room Leader.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding and child protection.
• Excellent communication and a passion for early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver activities that meet children's developmental needs.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment in line with EYFS standards.
• Monitor, record, and celebrate milestones in children's development.
• Communicate effectively with families to build strong relationships.
• Lead and support colleagues to maintain high-quality care and learning; ensure safeguarding policies.

Salary: Up to £34,778 per year (depending on qualifications & experience)

Contract: Full-time, permanent
