Job summary

The Learning Experience UK is seeking an experienced Nursery Room Leader for our East Finchley nursery in London. This role offers a welcoming environment where children learn, play and grow within a high-quality early years setting.

You will lead a team, plan activities, and ensure safeguarding and EYFS standards are consistently met, while building strong relationships with families and supporting staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience as Room Leader or similar in an Early Years setting.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS standards, safeguarding, and child protection policies.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver activities meeting children’s developmental needs.
• Provide a safe, nurturing environment aligned with EYFS standards.

Salary: Up to £34,778 per year (depending on qualifications & experience)

Contract: Full-time, permanent

As a Room Leader, you will:

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• Previous experience in an Early Years setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, or Early Years Educator)
• Strong knowledge ofEYFS, safeguarding, and child protection
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for early childhood education
• A commitment to delivering the highest standards of care
