Job summary

Hedgehog Recruitment is helping a beautiful nursery in Banstead recruit a Nursery Room Leader for the Pre-school. You will lead the dedicated preschool unit supporting children aged 3-4 and work with a friendly, supportive team.

The role is 40 hours per week, all year round, with opportunities for career development and leadership growth. Candidates should have prior room lead or senior practitioner experience and hold NNEB or NVQ level 3 in childcare.

Nursery Room Leader - Pre school.

We are currently looking for a Room lead for the Pre-school to join a beautiful setting in Banstead.

The setting has amazing resources and friendly and supportive team. The role is for someone who has great leadership skills and previous senior or lead expereince in an early years setting.

We are a friendly nursery with a warm and welcoming team. You will be leading our dedicated pre school unit for children from 3-4 years.

Key Responsibilities and duties of the nursery Room Leader:

• Assisting the Nursery Management in providing day to day high quality childcare.
• Leading a small team within the preschool unit.
• Provide a positive learning environment that offers choice, experiences, independence and meets all the children needs.
• Be able to have key person responsibility and carry out daily and individual planning within the room.
• Ensuring a safe, secure and caring environment for the well-being of the children.

Room Leader Candidates:

• Have room lead experience or a senior practitioner looking to take a step up.
• Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe.
• Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five.
• Be qualified at NNEB/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in childcare.
• Be able to work well and lead a small team.
