Job summary

Hedgehog Recruitment Services Ltd is recruiting for a Nursery Room Leader to join our client’s friendly preschool. The role involves leading a small team in one of our rooms and providing high quality childcare all year round.

You will be responsible for key person planning, daily activities, and maintaining a safe, caring environment for children under five. Part-time options may be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Room lead experience or senior practitioner with leadership.
• Passion for childcare and helping children learn and stay safe.
• Experience with children under five.
• Qualified at NVQ level 3 or equivalent in childcare.

Nursery Room Leader

Hours: The role is 4 or 5 days per week and we are open 8am - 6pm all year round.

We can consider part time job share for the right candidate.

We are currently looking for a Room leader for our beautiful NEW Nursery Pre-school!

The Nursery preschool has amazing resources and friendly and supportive team. We are a small and friendly nursery preschool with a warm and welcoming feel. You will be leading a team of staff in one of our dedicated rooms which consists of 3 classrooms 1-2's 2-3's and 3-4's.

Nursery Room Leader responsibilities and duties:

• Assisting the Nursery Management in providing day to day high quality childcare.
• Leading a team.
• Provide a positive learning environment that offers choice, experiences, independence and meets all the children needs.
• Be able to have key person responsibility and carry out daily and individual planning within the room.
• Ensuring a safe, secure and caring environment for the well-being of the children.

Nursery Room Leader candidates:

• Have room lead experience or a senior practitioner with good leadership experience.
• Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe.
• Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five.
• Be qualified at NNEB/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in childcare.
• Be able to work well and lead a small team.
