Job summary

Academics are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join the Nursery and Reception team at a welcoming school in Newport. This part-time mornings role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to help them settle confidently into school life.

You'll work closely with the class teacher to support routines, create a calm classroom, and reinforce positive behaviour. A patient, nurturing approach and the ability to work well in a small team are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in an educational, nursery or childcare setting, including supporting children with ALN, is preferred.
• An enhanced DBS check is essential, with registration on the Update Service desirable
• Current registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Two professional references
• A patient, nurturing and positive approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team

Academics are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join the Nursery and Reception team at a welcoming school in Newport. The role will be mornings only, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a part-time position while still gaining valuable experience within an early years setting.
