Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking Nursery Practitioners and Nursery Assistants for flexible, ad hoc work across Bishop’s Stortford's Early Years settings. Immediate starts and pay rates from £14.25 to £20 per hour, with options for part-time or regular shifts.

Qualified candidates may hold EY Level 2/3 qualifications, or candidates with strong childcare experience are welcome. Compliance checks may be required, with dedicated consultants guiding placements.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 0–5 in nursery settings is beneficial.
• Qualified candidates may hold Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualifications as listed.
• Candidates without a formal childcare qualification can be considered with relevant experience.

Who are we looking for?

I am looking for both qualified Early Years professionals and candidates with strong relevant childcare experience.

Qualified candidates may hold:

• Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education
• CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education
• NCFE CACHE Level 3 Childcare qualifications
• Level 3 Technical Certificate in Early Years Education
• Other recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualifications

Candidates without a formal childcare qualification can also be considered if they have relevant experience working with children.

Suitable experience could include working as a Nursery Assistant, Childcare Assistant, Early Years Assistant, Playworker, Teaching Assistant or in another childcare or educational role.

Experience working with children aged 0–5 and within a nursery environment would be particularly beneficial.
