Job summary

Sherford Vale School & Nursery is seeking a qualified Nursery Practitioner to cover a maternity leave period. The successful candidate will join our growing provision in Sherford and work within the Westcountry Schools Trust.

The role requires a Level 3 childcare qualification or equivalent experience, an understanding of the Early Years framework, safeguarding policies and procedures, SEND practice, and Paediatric First Aid. An enhanced DBS is required for this post.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage and safeguarding procedures.
• Experience of working with nursery-aged children.
• Paediatric First Aid knowledge or training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and learning experiences for nursery children.
• Support the nursery team during maternity cover and ensure continuity of provision.

Sherford Vale School & Nursery currently has a vacancy for a qualified, experienced Nursery Practitioner to cover Maternity Leave. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and enhance our growing provision, in the new town of Sherford, and as a partner in Westcountry Schools Trust . The person appointed would need the skills and qualities necessary to demonstrate - a secure level of understanding of the Early Years, Safeguarding policies/procedures, SEND practice and processes, Paediatric First Aid, and have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
