Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is seeking a Nursery Practitioner in Torquay for an immediate start to join a private day-nursery. The setting supports up to 125 children with age-appropriate rooms and sensory activities.

You will work across rooms with children from 6 weeks up to 4 years, reporting to the Nursery Manager, with opportunities for long-term/permanent progression within a growth-focused nursery.

Qualifications

• The successful Nursery Practitioner will have Level 2 as a minimum.
• Level 3 qualification is desirable for this role.
• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum is essential.
• A 'can-do' approach with willingness to get involved is expected.
• Adaptability to work across rooms and ages.

Responsibilities

• Support children from 6 weeks to 4 years across indoor/outdoor areas.
• Report to the Nursery Manager and cover day-to-day needs as required.
• Contribute to a warm, safe, and engaging environment for learners.

Nursery Practitioner

Salary: £14.26 per hour

A private day-nursery with their search for a Nursery Practitioner. This is an exciting opportunity work with a warm and positive private day-nursery in Torquay, who focus on child engagement with a therapeutic approach. The setting looks after up to 125 children, and both indoor and outdoor areas are split into age-appropriate sections and provide sensory enhancing activities. The nursery ensures children are able to challenge themselves and take risks in a safe and secure environment.

The nursery is looking to take on a Level 3 qualified Nursery Practitioner, for potential day-to-day cover as well as a long-term basis with the opportunity to go permanent for the right Nursery Practitioner. You will report directly to the Nursery Manager and could be required to work across all rooms, supporting children from ages 6 weeks up to 4 years. In a time of growth for this Nursery, career progression opportunities are also available for the right Nursery Practitioner.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

• Level 3 desirable


• Level 2 required


• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Studies (EYFS) curriculum


• ‘Can-do’ approach with the willingness to get stuck in
