Job summary

Hedgehog Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our client’s setting in Reigate, with options for Under 2s or 2-4 year olds. You will promote high quality childcare in a stimulating environment for children aged 6 months to four years.

The ideal candidate will have NVQ 2/3 in childcare or equivalent, knowledge of EYFS, and experience with under-5s. The role offers competitive pay, training opportunities, and regular support from management.

We are currently recruiting a Nursery Practitioner to join either our Under 2,s or our 2-4 year olds room at our beautiful, forward-thinking children’s day nursery and preschool in the heart of Reigate.

We are seeking individuals who can promote high quality care in a stimulating, rich learning environment which offers wonderful opportunities for all ages of children from 6 months-4 years.

Main responsibilities of the Nursery Practitioner:

• Provide a positive learning environment that offers choice, independence and a range of experiences, whilst meeting all of the children's needs.
• Be able to have key person responsibility and carry out daily and individual planning.
• Ensuring a safe, secure and caring environment for the well-being of the children.
• Assisting the Nursery Management in all aspects of providing day to day high quality childcare.

The ideal candidate will;

• Be passionate about childcare and helping children to achieve, play and be safe.
• Have previous experience of working with children under the age of five.
• Be qualified to NVQ level 2 / 3 or equivalent in childcare.
• Have a good working knowledge of the EYFS - Early Years Foundation Stages
