Randstad UK is seeking a Nursery Assistant / Early Years Practitioner for flexible supply across Croydon and surrounding areas. Whether qualified or passionate about childcare, you can support a variety of settings on a schedule that fits your life.

Pay rate is £14.00 - £16.00 per hour, with typical hours 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday and flexible shifts. This is a temporary / day-to-day supply contract with local placements and dedicated consultant support.

Qualifications

• CACHE / NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare / Early Years Education (or equivalent).
• Unqualified candidates with a genuine love for childcare and some transferable experience may be considered.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and engage children aged 0-5 in a warm, stimulating environment.
• Assist permanent staff with daily routines including meals, outdoor play and naps.
• Set up creative activities and maintain a safe, tidy play area.
• Follow safeguarding and health and safety policies at all times.
• Support children's social and emotional development throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, interact, and engage with children aged 0-5 years in a warm, stimulating environment.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates: CACHE / NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare / Early Years Education (or equivalent).

Unqualified candidates: A genuine passion for working with young children, a proactive attitude, and some transferable experience in childcare/early years settings.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with staff and children.
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to different nursery routines and environments.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
