Randstad UK is seeking flexible Nursery Assistants/Early Years Practitioners to support a variety of early years settings around Lewisham. Work is on a temporary supply basis with shifts typically 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and pay £14-£16 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualified candidates with CACHE/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare are welcome, along with unqualified applicants who show passion and transferable childcare experience.

• Qualified candidates: CACHE / NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare / Early Years Education (or equivalent).
• Unqualified candidates: A genuine passion for working with young children, a proactive attitude, and some transferable experience in childcare/early years settings.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsabilidades

• Supervise, interact, and engage with children aged 0-5 years in a warm, stimulating environment.
• Assist permanent nursery staff with daily routines, including meal/snack times, outdoor play, and nap schedules.
• Set up creative learning activities and maintain a safe, clean, and tidy play area to encourage exploration.
• Adhere strictly to safeguarding procedures and health and safety policies at all times to ensure children’s well-being.
• Promote positive behaviour and support children’s social and emotional development throughout the day.

Flexible Nursery Assistant / Early Years Practitioner - Lewisham
