Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking flexible Nursery Assistant / Early Years Practitioners to join our supply team in Chislehurst and surrounding areas. Earn £14.00–£16.00 per hour with hours typically 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, on a temporary / day-to-day basis.

Qualified candidates (CACHE / NVQ Level 2 or 3) or those with a passion for childcare are welcome. Enhanced DBS is preferred, and you will work across multiple early years settings with support from a dedicated consultant.

Qualifications

• CACHE / NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare / Early Years Education (or equivalent).
• Unqualified candidates with a genuine passion for working with young children and transferable childcare experience are welcome.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities

• Supervise, interact, and engage with children aged 0-5 in a warm, stimulating environment.
• Assist permanent nursery staff with daily routines, meals, outdoor play, and naps.
• Set up learning activities and maintain a safe, clean play area.
• Adhere to safeguarding and health and safety policies at all times.
• Promote positive behaviour and support social and emotional development.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Qualified candidates: CACHE / NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare / Early Years Education (or equivalent).

Unqualified candidates: A genuine passion for working with young children, a proactive attitude, and some transferable experience in childcare/early years settings.
