Job description

Overview: We are looking for a passionate and qualified Early Years Practitioner / Room Leader to join a well-established nursery in North West London. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing team that values creativity, development, and the well-being of every child. Due to increased enrolment, we are hiring for two new team members. The ideal candidate will be experienced in supporting early years development, leading activities, and working in line with the EYFS framework.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Act as a key worker, developing strong relationships with children and families.
2. Support or lead room planning and structured learning activities.
3. Observe and assess children’s development in accordance with EYFS guidelines.
4. Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging learning environment.
5. Uphold values of inclusion, safeguarding, and confidentiality at all times.
6. Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to continuous improvement.

Requirements:

1. A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (e.g., NVQ3 or equivalent).
2. Solid understanding of the EYFS framework.
3. Experience in early years settings and key worker responsibilities.
4. Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
5. A genuine passion for early childhood development.
6. Safeguarding training and a commitment to child protection practices.

Additional Information:

1. This role is term-time only, working approximately 38 weeks per year during school/nursery term dates.
2. Weekly working hours total 30 hours.
3. You will have unpaid time off during school holidays.

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time
• Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
• Expected hours: 30 per week
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 15:30
• Work Location: In person
