Position Details

• Location: Kensington and Chelsea
• Salary: From 14.00 per hour DOE
• Type: FTC or Permanent
• Hours: 40 per week

A well-established nursery in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is a full-time opportunity (40 hours per week) for a passionate early years professional to join a warm, inclusive setting.

About the Role

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality early years education and care, focusing on supporting children with additional needs. They will adapt their approach to meet individual learning styles and contribute to a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, caring, and engaging environment for all children
• Deliver tailored support for children with SEND, especially those with ASD
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
• Build strong relationships with families, colleagues, and external professionals
• Contribute to support plans and maintain accurate records
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures

Candidate Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
• Experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD
• Understanding of the EYFS
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm
