Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a fantastic nursery in Headingley, Leeds, to recruit a dedicated Nursery Practitioner. The role can be full-time or part-time, with options for long-term, permanent, or day-to-day cover, in a nurturing environment that supports child-led learning.

You will mainly assist in the Pre-School room, delivering engaging activities, monitoring progress and helping children develop independence in preparation for school.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification.
• Experience as Nursery Practitioner in an Early Years setting.
• Good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
• Ability to create engaging and stimulating learning opportunities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, reliable and proactive approach.

The setting promotes child-led learning through stimulating indoor and outdoor spaces, creating positive early learning experiences for every child.

The nursery is looking to appoint a dedicated Nursery Practitioner on a full-time or part time basis, with opportunities for both long-term and permanent employment or even just day to day cover. The successful Nursery Practitioner will primarily support children within the Pre-School room, helping to deliver engaging activities, monitor progress and promote independence in preparation for school.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification
• Experience working as a Nursery Practitioner within an Early Years setting
• Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
• Ability to create engaging and stimulating learning opportunities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, reliable and proactive approach
