Job summary

Flourish Education is seeking a passionate Nursery Practitioner for a full-time role in the Stourbridge area. You will support children aged 2–3 with play-based activities, promote developmental milestones, and work within a caring, inclusive team.

You will assist with personal care, monitor progress, and adapt activities for low-level SEN needs. A Level 2+ Early Years qualification and prior nursery experience are essential, with a commitment through the academic year.

Are you a passionate and qualified Nursery Practitioner looking for a full-time role??

A warm and welcoming nursery in Stourbridge is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join their team from after the October half-term through to the end of the academic year. This rewarding position is based within the nursery’s 2–3 year old room, supporting young children at a crucial stage of their early development.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting children’s learning through play-based activities, helping to nurture their communication, social, and physical development. You will also supervise and engage children during outdoor play, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment. There are some low-level SEN needs within the group, so a caring, attentive, and adaptable approach is essential. You will work closely with the nursery team to ensure each child’s individual needs are met and supported effectively.

This nursery is looking for a patient, enthusiastic, and nurturing Nursery Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality early years education and care.

As a Nursery Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting children aged 2–3 years with their learning and development through structured and play-based activities.

To be successful in this Nursery Practitioner role, you will need:
  • A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or above).
  • Previous experience working within an early years or nursery setting.
  • Experience providing personal care.
  • An understanding of supporting children with additional needs.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
  • Availability to work full-time from after the Easter break until the end of the academic year, with potential to continue in September.
Working for Flourish Education as a Nursery Practitioner, you will receive:
  • Competitive Salary –£18,049 - £19,500 per annum based on previous experience

  • Holiday Pay - for PAYE candidates 12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot
  • KCSIE-compliant safeguarding and prevent duty training inclusive of modules relating to legislation, FGM and abuse.
