Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking a Nursery Practitioner in Derbyshire to deliver the EYFS curriculum, maintain child development records and build strong family partnerships. The role requires a passion for early years education and a flexible, team-oriented approach.

The position includes safeguarding responsibilities, adherence to policies, and participation in meetings and training. All pay rates include rolled-up holiday pay, with UK residency required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the EYFS curriculum effectively, meeting the needs and interests of children.

• Ensure a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for all children.
• Report concerns to the Manager/SENCO/DSL while keeping confidentiality.
• Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Attend staff meetings, training and occasional out-of-hours activities.
• Uphold policies and procedures relevant to the role and setting.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and cleanliness.

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: £13.70 - £13.80 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join a welcoming early years setting in Derbyshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with young children and is committed to providing high-quality care and education.

Main Duties

• Deliver the EYFS curriculum effectively, meeting the individual needs and interests of children.
• Maintain accurate records of key children's development and share progress with parents/carers.
• Build strong partnerships with families to support children's learning and well‑being.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.
• Report any concerns to the appropriate person (Manager, SENCO, DSL) while maintaining confidentiality.
• Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and occasional out-of-hours activities.
• Uphold all policies and procedures relevant to the role and setting.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness at all times.

Essential

Desirable

• Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (CACHE, BTEC, NVQ) or equivalent.
