Job summary

Willng Recruitment is helping a private day nursery recruit a Nursery Practitioner Level 2 or 3. This full-time, room-based role involves planning and daily routines, supporting curiosity and hands-on learning through play in a calm, home-from-home environment.

You will need a full Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification and recent nursery experience, with solid EYFS knowledge and safeguarding awareness.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Experience working as a Nursery Practitioner in an early years setting.
• Secure knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Confidence working independently within a room.
• Clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver EYFS-based activities alongside room colleagues.
• Support children’s independence through play-led learning.
• Observe, assess, and record development progress.
• Maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming environment.
• Build consistent partnerships with parents and carers.
• Follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures at all times.

Nursery Practitioner Level 2 or 3 – Up to £30,000

The nursery provides a calm, home-from-home environment with natural resources and thoughtfully designed rooms. As a Nursery Practitioner, you’ll work directly with children each day, supporting curiosity, independence, and hands-on learning through play. The role is full-time and based within one room, with shared responsibility for planning and daily routines.
