Job summary

SMART Education Recruitment is seeking a Nursery Practitioner in Walsall to join a welcoming nursery setting. You will support children's development through play, with flexible shifts to suit your needs and a friendly, supportive team.

The role offers part-time or full-time opportunities, with weekly pay through PAYE and a contract starting 1st September 2026. Relevant Level 2/3 Early Years qualifications and DBS are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) required.
• Previous experience working in an Early Years setting as a Nursery Practitioner.
• Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable.
• Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to provide references covering the previous 24 months.

• Promote every child's wellbeing, safety, and development
• Observe and record children's progress accurately
• Build positive relationships with parents and colleagues
• Create a fun, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
