Job summary

SMART Education Recruitment is seeking a Nursery Practitioner in Walsall to support children’s learning through play and exploration in a welcoming nursery setting.

You will work flexibly with part-time or full-time hours, assisting with development, observation, and parent communication. The role starts 1 September 2026 and pays £14.24 per hour, within a friendly, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) required.
• Previous experience in an Early Years setting as a Nursery Practitioner.
• Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable, DBS update service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote each child’s wellbeing, safety and development.

The Role

Skills and Experience

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) required

• Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable
• Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to provide references covering the previous 24 months

• Based in Walsall
• £14.24 per hour
