Job summary

SMART Education Recruitment supports a welcoming nursery in Walsall in recruiting a Nursery Practitioner on a contract basis. The role centers on supporting children's learning through play, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment, and contributing to early development.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 2/3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent), have prior Early Years experience, and possess a Paediatric First Aid qualification (desirable) with Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent) required.
• Previous experience working in an Early Years setting as a Nursery Practitioner
• Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable
• Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Ability to provide references covering the previous 24 months

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning through play and planned activities
• Promote every child's wellbeing, safety, and development
• Observe and record children's progress accurately
• Build positive relationships with parents and colleagues
• Create a fun, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
