Job summary

Shifting Paradigms Ltd t/a British Nannies is seeking Supply Nursery Practitioners for flexible shifts in Andover. Work across welcoming nurseries, choosing days that fit your schedule, from 1 day a week to full week coverage. Great for balance with study or family commitments.

You’ll care for children aged 0-5, support routines, and uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards. Enhanced DBS and references are required or can be processed via Update Service.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with children aged 0-5.
• For qualified rates, a CACHE, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent Early Years qualification is required. We also welcome applications from experienced individuals without formal childcare qualifications.
• Reliability: Adaptable, friendly, punctual, and confident stepping into new nursery environments with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Requirements: Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service and provide verifiable professional references.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive care for children aged 0-5 across baby, toddler, and preschool rooms.
• Step seamlessly into nursery routines, supporting permanent staff with indoor play, outdoor learning, snack/meal times, and nap routines.
• Help create a fun, safe, and stimulating environment for the children throughout the day.
• Promote good hygiene and uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards at every setting you visit.
