Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking Supply Nursery Practitioners for flexible day-to-day cover in Tunbridge Wells. You can choose 1 day a week or full 5-day blocks across welcoming nurseries, gaining valuable early years experience.

Qualified staff with CACHE/NVQ Level 2/3 are encouraged, but experienced individuals without formal childcare qualifications are also welcome. An enhanced DBS check and references are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with children aged 0-5.
• CACHE, NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) Early Years qualification preferred; applications from non-qualified staff considered.
• Reliable, adaptable, punctual and confident entering new nurseries.
• Enhanced DBS check (registered on Update Service) with references required.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive care for children aged 0-5 across nursery rooms.
• Assist permanent staff with daily routines, play, meals, and naps.
• Help maintain a safe, hygienic environment and uphold safeguarding standards.
• Fill shifts across Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas as needed.

Supply Nursery Practitioner (Flexible Shifts) - Tunbridge Wells

We are currently recruiting reliable, enthusiastic Supply Nursery Practitioners for day-to-day cover across welcoming nurseries and early years settings in Tunbridge Wells. Whether you are looking for 1 day a week or full 5-day cover, supply work lets you choose when and where you work while gaining valuable experience. We welcome applications from both qualified staff and experienced childcare practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive care for children aged 0-5 years across baby, toddler, and preschool rooms.
• Step seamlessly into nursery routines, supporting permanent staff with indoor play, outdoor learning, snack/meal times, and nap routines.
• Help create a fun, safe, and stimulating environment for the children throughout the day.
• Promote good hygiene and uphold strict safeguarding and health & safety standards at every setting you visit.

Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience working or volunteering with children aged 0-5.

Qualifications: For qualified rates, a CACHE, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent Early Years qualification is required. We also welcome applications from experienced individuals without formal childcare qualifications.

Reliability: Adaptable, friendly, punctual, and confident stepping into new nursery environments with a positive, can-do attitude.

Requirements: Candidates must hold or undergo an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service and provide verifiable professional references.
