Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Nursery Nurse for a Reception Class in a West London primary school. The role is full-time, temporary, with hours 8:00am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only.

The successful candidate must have UK nursery experience and safeguarding training, and must hold the Right to Work in the UK with an enhanced DBS checked or willing to apply. Contract is until the end of the academic year with potential extension or permanent opportunity based on performance.

Nursery Nurse - Reception Class

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Nursery Nurse for an Ofsted "Good" Primary school in West London.

The school is a popular four-form entry mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. The school is going from strength to strength and providing training to all staff.

Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location - West London
• Position - Nursery Nurse (Reception Class)
• Contract or position start date - 02/11/2026
• Duration / Likely Duration - Until end of the academic year
• Contract or position end date - July 2027
• Contract type - Temporary
• Full time/part time - Full time
• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £100 - £130 per day
• Hours - 8:00am - 4pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• CACHE Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Minimum 1 year Nursery experience in the UK
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years

OTHER

The successful candidate will be required to register and have passed all safeguarding/vetting checks with Prospero Teaching in order to fill this vacancy. Any adult working with children and vulnerable young people are responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of the children and young people.
