Job summary

Humly North East is seeking Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurses to join their growing early years team across private nursery settings in North Tyneside, Newcastle, Darlington and Northumberland. Roles include both part-time and full-time shifts with immediate start available.

You will deliver EYFS‑aligned care and education, plan engaging indoor and outdoor activities, support observations and learning journeys, and uphold safeguarding while working across local sites with flexibility for

• CACHE/NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent.
• Experience in an early years setting or private nursery.
• Paediatric First Aid is desirable.
• Knowledge of safeguarding protocols.

Role Overview

A prominent private nursery group with established settings across North Tyneside, Newcastle, Darlington, and Northumberland is seeking passionate and dedicated Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurses to join their growing early years team.

These opportunities cater to both full-time and part-time requirements, offering flexible working patterns across short-term cover and ongoing long-term assignments. Successful candidates will play a crucial role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children across the North East region.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality early years care and education in line with EYFS framework standards.
• Planning, organising, and leading engaging indoor and outdoor developmental activities.
• Actively supporting key child observations, assessments, and individual learning journeys.
• Ensuring child safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding procedures are strictly upheld at all times.
• Building strong, positive relationships with children, parent/carers, and the wider nursery team.

Requirements

• Qualification: CACHE / NVQ Level 3 in Early Years, Childcare, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience: Proven experience working within an early years setting or private nursery context.
• First Aid: Paediatric First Aid certificate is highly desirable, though not strictly essential for application.
• Safeguarding: Thorough knowledge of safeguarding protocols and child protection guidelines.
• Flexibility: Ability to adapt quickly to different nursery environments across local sites.
• Vetting: An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one prior to start)
