Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery in Langley, near Slough, is seeking a Nursery Nurse to care for children aged 0-5, ensuring a fun, safe and supportive environment. You will work with a dedicated team to deliver high quality care while following nursery policies and safeguarding practices.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent, knowledge of the EYFS, and a genuine passion for meeting children's needs. Full-time or part-time hours are available within our established nursery group.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework for planning activities.
• Experience with planning, observation and keeping records for nursery aged children.
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and meeting their needs.
• Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Working with the team to provide high quality care for children aged 0-5.
• Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery by following policies and procedures.
• Using knowledge and imagination to create new activities.

Job description

Nursery Nurse

Langley, (near Slough) Berkshire - SL3 8BB

As a Nursery Nurse, you will spend your days looking after children from 3 months old, right up to pre-school age. You'll ensure that the children have fun whilst being sensitive and attentive to their individual needs.

This role is open to those with an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare. Full time (40 hours a week) and part time (20 hours a week) required. We are also recruiting for qualified staff to join our Supply Team on a zero hour contract and lunch cover roles.

Salary for Nursery Nurse is up to £29,869 per annum

Located on Parlaunt Road, our well-established nursery is a short walk from Langley train station and easily accessible from the M4 and M40.

Essential knowledge, skills, qualifications & experience:

• Suitable qualifications: an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, and the ability to refer to the EYFS Framework when planning activities
• To be aware of the role of planning, observation and keeping records when caring for nursery aged children
