Job Description

Our client is looking to employ a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse or Apprentice for their unique OUTSTANDING Ofsted-rated Private Day Nursery near Kemsing, Sevenoaks. The suitable candidate must be passionate, enthusiastic, and driven to provide young children with the best early years education and care for their development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and deliver the EYFS curriculum in accordance with the children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs.
• Understand and adhere to nursery policies and procedures, including child protection protocols and responding appropriately to incidents, accidents, complaints, and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and assessments, including progress reports and behavioral and developmental observations, using nursery iPads and the Tapestry online learning journal. Follow recommendations from regulatory inspections.
• Respond to each child's individual care and attention needs, ensuring high levels of care and supervision to promote their health and well-being.
• Act as a Key Person for a group of children, reflecting their needs in routine planning, and liaising closely with parents and carers to inform them of their child's progress and encourage involvement in their child's learning.
• Be aware of children with special educational needs and disabilities, working with staff and external agencies to support these children effectively.
• Promote positive values, attitudes, and good behavior, managing conflicts promptly and encouraging children to take responsibility for their actions.
• Undertake any additional duties as directed by the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager.
