Job summary

Lockerbie Nursery, Dumfries and Galloway Council, is seeking a motivated Nursery Manager to lead day-to-day operations and drive quality in early learning and childcare. The post includes leading improvement planning, self-evaluation, and curricular development within a supportive senior leadership team.

Candidates should hold a BA in Childhood Practice or an equivalent qualification (SCQF level 9) and must work toward or hold SSSC registration as a Manager.

Qualifications

• BA in Childhood Practice or equivalent SCQF level 9.
• Experience leading and managing a nursery.
• Registered with SSSC as a Manager or eligible to register.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the nursery.
• Lead self-evaluation and drive improvement and curricular planning.
• Manage staff, liaise with parents and multi-agency teams to support children's learning.
