Job summary

Cheshire Day Nursery in Warrington is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead an Outstanding nursery on-site. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest standards of care, learning and safeguarding, while developing your team and building strong family partnerships.

The role requires senior leadership experience in Early Years, a strong focus on safeguarding, and the ability to maintain inspection readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience as Nursery Manager or in a senior leadership role within Early Years.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
• Experience preparing for and maintaining inspection standards (Ofsted/early years inspections).
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and inspire the nursery team.
• Ensure the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for children and families.
• Manage occupancy, enrolments, and nursery performance.
• Support team development through coaching, supervision, and training.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and health & safety requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and quality across the nursery.
