Great Starts Recruitment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a well-established nursery in Brentwood, Essex, for a Nursery Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and uphold the highest standards of care and education.

The role requires strong leadership, EYFS and safeguarding knowledge, and experience in managing occupancy and staff. Salary up to £42,000, 40 hours per week across 5 days, plus 24 days annual leave and 8 bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
• Previous Nursery Manager experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
• Experience working towards occupancy and quality targets.
• Passion for delivering outstanding childcare and education.

Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating, and developing a dedicated childcare team
• Maintaining compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
• Supporting high-quality learning and development opportunities for all children
• Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals
• Managing occupancy, staffing levels, and nursery performance
• Driving continuous improvement and maintaining excellent standards throughout the setting
• Creating a positive and supportive environment for both children and staff
