Job summary

JEM Childcare Solutions in Portsmouth seeks an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a busy setting in central Portsmouth. This 40-hour week role offers a salary around £39k plus a joining bonus and other benefits.

The ideal candidate will have Level 3+ Early Years qualification, 4+ years in early years with management experience, and proven leadership to drive Ofsted readiness and high-quality care while managing budgets.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or higher Early Years / Childcare qualification.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in early years, including 2 years in a management role.
• Experience leading or supporting Ofsted inspections.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety practices.
• Experience managing nursery teams, occupancy, and budgets.
• Deliver high-quality care and learning while ensuring statutory compliance.
