Nursery Manager (PE3) - Monday to Friday - £31,000 - £40,000

Our nursery, located in the quieter areas of Peterborough and attached to a renowned primary school, is seeking a dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our dynamic team. Minimum requirements:

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Experience in an early years leadership role (Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar)
• Experience participating in regulatory inspections
• Ability to develop high-performance teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver high-quality pedagogy and innovation
• Confident decision-making skills and ability to support change within a regulated setting
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and legislative requirements
• Ability to build trust and strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and external partners

Key duties:

• Lead nursery teams to deliver outstanding care
• Drive employee engagement, retention, and performance
• Collaborate with HR for recruitment and diversity initiatives
• Mentor staff to ensure high standards, including for children with special needs
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, overseeing safeguarding policies and practices
• Develop succession plans and nurture talent within the team
• Work with regional and operational teams on commercial strategies
• Manage nursery performance, revenue, and costs to meet financial targets
• Engage with local authorities to support practice and compliance
