Job summary

Academics Ltd is partnering with a private nursery in Hammersmith & Fulham to recruit an outstanding Nursery Manager, joining from September 2026. You will shape the setting, develop your team and influence children's daily experiences in a thriving environment.

The role focuses on leading care quality, implementing EYFS, safeguarding and driving a collaborative, high-performing culture within the nursery.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification or above.
• Previous experience in Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager or senior EY leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide confident and inspirational leadership to the nursery team.
• Ensure high-quality care, learning and development opportunities for children.
• Lead the implementation of the EYFS and maintain educational standards.
• Oversee safeguarding, health and safety, compliance and nursery procedures.

Academics is delighted to be working alongside a well-established private nursery in Hammersmith & Fulham to appoint an outstanding Nursery Manager to join their team from September 2026. This is more than simply managing the day-to-day running of a nursery. You will have the opportunity to shape the setting, develop your team and influence the experiences children receive every day.

You will:

• Provide confident and inspirational leadership to the nursery team
• Ensure children receive consistently high-quality care, learning and development opportunities
• Lead the implementation of the EYFS and maintain excellent educational standards
• Oversee safeguarding, health and safety, compliance and nursery procedures
• Coach, support and develop practitioners, creating a positive and motivated team culture

What We’re Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

• A recognised Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification or above
• Previous experience as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager or in a senior Early Years leadership position
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and a commitment to children's welfare
• Proven experience of leading, motivating and developing a nursery team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
• A proactive, positive and professional approach
• A genuine passion for giving children the best possible start in life
