Job summary

Nala Recruitment are partnering with a welcoming nursery in Lincoln to recruit a Lunchtime Assistant. The role is part-time (11am–2pm, 15 hours weekly) with a permanent contract and a starting date ASAP. Salary is £12.71–£12.90 per hour, depending on qualification and experience.

You will support children during lunch, help with eating and personal care, maintain a calm and hygienic lunchtime environment, and work closely with the nursery team to safeguard and nurture every child.

Qualifications

• Has an Early Years qualification at Level 2 or Level 3.
• Caring and positive approach to working with children.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, reliable and responsible approach.
• Genuine interest in supporting children's care and development.
• Ability to create a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support children during lunchtime and mealtimes.
• Help children with eating and drinking where appropriate.

Nala Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming and supportive nursery who are looking for a Lunchtime Assistant to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years professional who enjoys working with young children and wants to play an important role in supporting their care and wellbeing during the lunchtime period.

The Role

As a Lunchtime Assistant, you will support the nursery team during lunch and help ensure children have a safe, enjoyable and positive experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children during lunchtime and meal times
• Helping children with eating and drinking where appropriate
• Creating a calm and positive environment during lunch
• Supporting children with their personal care and hygiene needs
• Ensuring children are supervised and safe at all times
• Helping to maintain a clean, tidy and hygienic environment
• Supporting the wider nursery team where required
• Building positive relationships with children and colleagues
• Following health, safety and safeguarding procedures at all times
