Job summary

Family Adventures Group in Cardiff Bay is seeking an Early Years Assistant to join a warm, engaging team. You’ll help to create a safe, stimulating environment where children aged 0-5 can explore through play and structured activities.

You’ll support development, follow safeguarding procedures, build strong links with families, and commit to ongoing training. A current Enhanced DBS check is required, and part-time hours are 3 per day over lunch.

Qualifications

• Interest in working with children and helping them develop
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to grow and reflect on practice
• Enhanced DBS check required or willingness to undergo one

Responsibilities

• Supporting the learning and development of children aged 0-5 through meaningful play and planned experiences
• Ensuring every child feels valued, nurtured and challenged
• Following safeguarding procedures and promoting a culture of safety and care
• Building strong partnerships with parents and families
• Reflecting on your practice and actively engaging in training and development
