Job summary

The Learning Experience is seeking a Lunchtime Assistant for their new setting in Weybridge, UK. In this role, you will deliver exceptional care, support child development, and participate in creating a safe and enriching environment for children.

This position requires a Level 2 qualification or above in Early Years and experience in early years education settings. You will also enjoy great benefits including discounted childcare, paid birthday leave, and access to various employee perks.

Your Duties

• Friendly, spirited individuals are invited to join our Leatherhead Nursery as a Lunchtime Assistant.
• Cover hours approximately 10am to 3pm.
• Deliver exceptional care that supports each child’s development and individual needs.
• Fulfill lunchtime responsibilities and provide vital support to local nurseries with a flexible approach.
• Create enriching environments filled with engaging activities to foster indoor and outdoor growth.
• Follow British Values embedded in Core Advantage, LEAP, and Early Years Foundation Stage learning, ensuring a holistic education experience. Safety remains paramount, with adherence to child protection and health and safety policies safeguarding children’s well‑being.

What We Ideally Require From You

• Experience in early years education settings with Good or Outstanding inspection outcomes.
• Level 2 or above qualification in Early Years.
• Successful collaboration within nursery teams and effective communication.
• Record of ongoing training and professional qualifications.
• Proficiency in hygiene standards, room preparation, and decision-making.
• Experience in food preparation and relevant food management training.
• Familiarity with child protection and safeguarding policies.
• Motivated and deadline-driven, particularly in children’s record-keeping and assessment.
