Zusammenfassung

YMCA Fairthorne Group is seeking a Lead Early Years Practitioner to join the nursery leadership team, guiding practice across the setting while supporting children who may need extra help to thrive. You will work supernumerary, observe children, coach colleagues, develop support plans, coordinate referrals, and help embed high standards of care and safeguarding.

Ideal candidates have Level 5 in Early Years or Childcare (or Level 3 with relevant background) and a proven ability to improve

Qualifikationen

• Experience leading practice in an Early Years setting.
• Proven ability to improve practice and support SEND/behaviour.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and commitment to health and safety.
• Paediatric First Aid/ Designated Safeguarding Lead training is valued, with support offered to complete if needed.

Aufgaben

• Lead nursery practice across rooms and outdoor spaces.
• Observe children and identify where additional support is needed.
• Develop and monitor support plans with key persons.
• Coordinate referrals for specialist support when needed.
• Coach practitioners and model best Early Years practice.
• Support safeguarding and inclusion across the setting.
• Deputise for the Nursery Manager when required.
• Spend meaningful time directly with children.
