Job summary

Lift Barton Hill in Torquay is seeking a Nursery Lead Practitioner/HLTA to lead the early years team at Pebbles Nursery, delivering outstanding provision for 2 and 3-year-olds. You will create a safe, engaging learning environment, coach and develop Teaching Assistants, and design intervention strategies to support every child's progress.

Applicants should hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or HLTA status; strong leadership, communication skills and a willingness to obtain Paediatric First

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in an Early Years setting.
• Full and relevant Level 3 EY qualification or HLTA status.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire a team.
• Willing to obtain Paediatric First Aid upon appointment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach lessons that are engaging and accessible to all students
• Guide and support Teaching Assistants, helping them grow through feedback and coaching
• Create and deliver intervention strategies for students who need extra support
• Build positive relationships with students and help them develop independent learning skills
• Work with teachers, parents, and pastoral staff to support each child's progress
• Help organise learning spaces and resources that meet the needs of all learners
