N Family Club in Twickenham, London is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our Chef in preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for children and staff. You will help maintain high hygiene standards and assist with stock, paperwork and daily safety logs.

With prior kitchen experience in a nursery or commercial setting and a passion for healthy, varied meals, you’ll join a team that values creativity, customer service and a long-term career in early years catering.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial nursery kitchen
• Experience catering for a diverse range of dietary needs
• Food Preparation and Hygiene NVQ Level 2 (Level 3 during induction if not held)
• Passion for food creativity and working with children and families
• Long-term culinary career goals
• Willingness to recycle and minimise food waste
• Ability to work quickly during busy service times

Responsibilities

• Assist with cooking fresh, nutritious meals for children and team.
• Meet nutritional needs of different age groups; follow food safety guidelines.
• Cater to dietary needs for all ages.
• Prepare daily lunches and smoothies for nursery team.
• Keep kitchen paperwork, cleaning schedules and daily safety logs up to date.
• Order supplies, manage stock, and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain a 5-star Food Hygiene standard.
• Build friendly relationships with parents about food quality and safety.
