Job summary

Clarence House Nurseries in Northampton is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the nursery kitchen. The role is 20 hours per week, from 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only.

Job description

Clarence House Nurseries is a group of 15 nurseries in East Anglia and the East Midlands. We are currently looking for a Kitchen Assistant to work in the nursery kitchen in our Northampton setting.

You will be working 20 hours a week, 10am - 2pm Monday to Friday. This position is for Term-Time Only.

Your rate of pay will be £12.21 an hour.

Duties and responsibilities:

• - Preparation of food to include cooking meals and preparing fruit, vegetables and desserts as directed by the Nursery Manager;
• - Unloading deliveries and supplies and organising the storeroom as directed;
• - Collecting, cleaning and storing the crockery, pots, pans and cutlery using the nursery dishwasher;
• - Daily cleaning of kitchen surfaces including the cooker and microwave, sweeping and mopping the floor;
• - Undertaking such other duties and responsibilities as determined from time to time by the Nursery Manager.

We're looking for a person who is self-motivated, passionate and a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

In addition, you should hold or be willing to complete suitable qualifications in Food Hygiene and preparation.
