Monkey Puzzle Woodford is seeking a friendly Nursery Housekeeper to join our caring team in Essex.

You will maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the nursery, support staff during mealtimes, and help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for children. This role is a steady, day-time position within a trusted childcare group.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning industry with emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene.
• Experience using cleaning products and equipment.
• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Good command of English to ensure children's well-being.

Responsibilities

• Keep the nursery environment clean and tidy, including washrooms and laundry.
• Support wider team during mealtimes and routines.
• Ensure safe storage and use of products; uphold health and safety.
• Communicate effectively with adults and children.

Location: Essex

Salary: Starting from £13.50 per hour (dependent on qualification(s) and experience)

Hours: 12-9 pm or 11am-8 pm

Key Responsibilities

• Team working, we are a lovely family feel nursery and we strive for happiness for our people
• Ensuring the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures
• Implementation the EYFS with a good understanding of child development
• Supporting all nursery staff to help us deliver outstanding childcare
• Strong communication with both adults and children
• Reporting issues of concern to a senior team member or relevant services
• Partnership working with parents and our partners to ensure our children thrive
• Positive attitude with children, parents, colleagues and visitors to maintain our happy nursery
• Creativity and an inspirational attitude
• Keeping the whole nursery environment clean and tidy, including hygiene of the children's bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day and the upkeep of laundry care
• Supporting the wider team when necessary (mealtimes for example)
• Ensuring all products used are stored safely and are suitable for use within a nursery
• Uphold health and safety requirements at all times

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essentials:

• Experience of working within the cleaning industry with an emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene
• Experience of using cleaning products and equipment
• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements
• Good command of English, to ensure the well-being of the children
