Monkey Puzzle East Sheen Nursery is seeking a Nursery Room Leader to join our caring team. Based at Monkey Puzzle East Sheen, the role leads a nursery room, supports staff development and ensures EYFS compliance in daily practice.

The successful candidate will have a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification, safeguarding knowledge, and at least two years' experience in an EYFS setting, with a commitment to creating a safe, stimulating environment for children and close partnership with families.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification held or in progress.
• Safeguarding knowledge and practice is required.
• At least 2 years’ experience in an EYFS setting.

Responsibilities

• Support your team to grow and perform to a high standard while following EYFS frameworks and legislation.
• Create inspiring, safe learning environments aligned with children's needs and the nursery.
• Be part of a warm, family-like team focused on happiness and wellbeing.
• Ensure children's safety and welfare through safeguarding processes.
• Implement the EYFS with solid understanding of child development.
• Report concerns to a senior team member or relevant services.
• Collaborate with parents and partners to help children thrive.
• Maintain a positive, welcoming attitude with children, parents and visitors.
• Keep clear records and write reports accurately and on time.
• Promote high standards of quality in practice, environment and resources.

• Supporting your team to grow and perform at a high standard, whilst ensuring that all legislation and EYFS frameworks are adhered to

• Clear and accurate record keeping and report writing
• Promoting a high standard of quality within the nursery including practice, environment and resources in line with our nursery expectations

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essentials

• Minimum full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Safeguarding Knowledge
• At least 2 year's experience working as a nursery practitioner or similar in an Early Years setting.
