Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries in Essex is seeking a Nursery Housekeeper to maintain a clean and safe environment for children. Hours are 12-9 pm or 11 am-8 pm, with a starting hourly rate of £13.50. The role supports staff with hygiene tasks, laundry, and overall upkeep.

The position requires experience in cleaning, health & safety knowledge, and good English communication to ensure the wellbeing of children and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within the cleaning industry with an emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene
• Experience using cleaning products and equipment
• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements
• Good command of English to ensure the well-being of the children

Responsibilities

• Team working to maintain a happy, safe nursery environment
• Ensure safety and welfare of children with safeguarding knowledge
• Implement EYFS with understanding of child development
• Support nursery staff to deliver outstanding childcare
• Maintain clear communication with adults and children
• Report issues to senior staff or relevant services
• Engage with parents and partners to support children's growth
• Keep nursery clean and hygienic, including bathrooms and laundry upkeep
• Assist wider team during mealtimes and other activities
• Ensure storage of products is safe and appropriate for nursery use
• Uphold health and safety standards at all times

• Ensuring the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures
• Implementation the EYFS with a good understanding of child development
• Supporting all nursery staff to help us deliver outstanding childcare

• Partnership working with parents and our partners to ensure our children thrive

• Keeping the whole nursery environment clean and tidy, including hygiene of the children's bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day and the upkeep of laundry care
• Supporting the wider team when necessary (mealtimes for example)
• Ensuring all products used are stored safely and are suitable for use within a nursery
• Uphold health and safety requirements at all times
