Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming nursery in North Birmingham to appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant for ages 2–3 within the EYFS. You will support learning, play-based activities and daily routines, while providing personal care and helping children with their development in a safe, nurturing environment.

This full-time, long-term role follows school hours during term time, with ongoing CPD and support from a dedicated TeacherActive consultant.

Qualifications

• Experience working with 2–3-year-olds in nursery or EYFS setting.
• Comfortable providing personal care including toileting, nappies and hygiene routines.
• Solid understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Support learning and development through play-based activities.
• Encourage communication, social and emotional development.
• Assist with mealtimes and daily nursery routines.
• Be caring, patient and attentive to individual needs.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support 2–3-year-olds in learning and development.
• Assist with daily routines and nursery activities.
• Support personal care and hygiene needs as required.
• Ensure safeguarding and health and safety policies are followed.
