We are looking for an L3 Qualified Childcare Nursery Deputy Manager to join our vibrant and friendly Day Nursery.

Our Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold a relevant Level 3 childcare qualification
- Have at least 3 years of childcare experience
- Have 2 years of experience working in a nursery setting
- Have 1 year of managerial experience within a nursery setting
- Be enthusiastic, fun, creative, and a good role model
- Possess a passion, motivation, and drive for working with and educating children
- Have a good understanding of the EYFS and Safeguarding policies and procedures
- Be committed to self-development and motivated to keep knowledge and skills updated
- Believe in promoting and building strong parent partnerships to provide cohesive learning for children
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and policy adherence
- Promote, implement, and apply EYFS/SEND standards
- Ensure health, safety, security, and wellbeing of children, staff, and visitors are upheld
- Participate in the key persons system, overseeing a group of children, including monitoring, assessment, and record keeping of their development
- Support children's emotional and social needs with positive behaviour management techniques
- Ensure smooth settling-in and transition periods for children
- Promote good personal and food hygiene and encourage independence
- Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, high-quality practice, flexibility, and promote equality and diversity
- Plan activities tailored to each child's abilities, interests, language, and cultural background to support development through learning and play
- Attend meetings, training sessions, appraisals, and supervision as required
- Escalate practice or family concerns promptly, ensuring effective communication with parents and colleagues
- Foster effective partnerships with management, colleagues, and external professionals, including family support workers, speech therapists, and SENCOs
