Job summary

Les Petites Etoiles Nurseries, a group of 5 bilingual nurseries in North London, seeks a dedicated Nursery Cook who will cover main chefs across locations and support classrooms in Tufnell Park. The role includes creating an organic menu and supervising day-to-day kitchen operations.

The position is full-time and permanent, with potential progression toward Level 3 in Childcare after probation. Staff benefits include extensive holidays and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing food for large numbers of children and/or adults.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or above.
• Food Allergen Awareness.
• At least one year of childcare experience.
• Health & Safety and safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high hygiene standards following Food Standard Agency/Environmental Health guidelines.
• Prepare a balanced rotating menu considering dietary and cultural requirements.
• Maintain kitchen procedures and records.
• Undertake other reasonable catering duties as requested by the Nursery Manager.
• Ensure all foods are ready at the specified time and correctly served.
• Support room leaders and assist in classrooms as needed.
