Job summary

Family First Group operates Kids Play - The Childcare Hub in Milton Keynes and is seeking a reliable Nursery Housekeeper to keep playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and communal areas clean and welcoming.

You will support daily cleaning, laundry duties and safety procedures, with a role suited to parents, students or school-hour workers seeking regular part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual in all duties.
• Able to work independently with initiative.
• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience.
• Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and COSHH where applicable.
• Experience in nursery, school, healthcare or similar environments.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and communal areas.
• Sweep, mop, dust, sanitise surfaces and manage bins.
• Support laundry duties and maintain nursery linen.
• Follow Health & Safety, COSHH and safeguarding procedures.
• Work closely with the team to keep the environment welcoming.

The role:

As NurseryHousekeeper, you will help maintain the highest standards ofcleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery. Responsibilitiesinclude:

• Cleaning andmaintaining playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communalareas
• Sweeping,mopping, dusting, sanitising surfaces, and emptyingbins
• Cleaning anddisinfecting children's bathrooms, nappy changing areas, andhigh-touch surfaces
• Supportinglaundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, andorganising nursery linen
• Assisting withwashing up and maintaining cleanliness within kitchenareas
• Using cleaningproducts and equipment safely and appropriately
• Monitoringcleaning stock levels and reporting replenishmentrequirements
• Following Health& Safety, COSHH, infection control, and safeguardingprocedures at all times
• Supportingperiodic deep cleaning tasks as required
• Working closelywith the nursery team to ensure a safe and welcomingenvironment for all
