Job summary

The Worcester Park Day Nursery, part of Family First Nurseries Group, is seeking a reliable Nursery Housekeeper to keep playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas clean and welcoming. This role supports a safe learning environment for children, with duties including cleaning, laundry, and stock monitoring.

We offer flexibility around hours for the right candidate, making it suitable for parents or students.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Able to work independently.
• Experience in cleaning/housekeeping.
• Knowledge of COSHH and safe cleaning practices.
• Experience in nursery, school, healthcare or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal areas.
• Sweep, mop, dust, sanitise surfaces and empty bins.
• Disinfect children's bathrooms and high-touch surfaces.
• Assist with laundry duties and nursery linen.
• Wash up and maintain cleanliness in kitchen areas.
• Use cleaning products safely and appropriately.
• Monitor stock levels and report replenishment needs.
• Follow Health & Safety, COSHH, infection control and safeguarding procedures.
• Support periodic deep cleaning tasks and team collaboration.

The role:

As NurseryHousekeeper, you will help maintain the highest standards ofcleanliness and hygiene throughout the nursery. Responsibilitiesinclude:

• Cleaning andmaintaining playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communalareas
• Sweeping,mopping, dusting, sanitising surfaces, and emptyingbins
• Cleaning anddisinfecting children's bathrooms, nappy changing areas, andhigh-touch surfaces
• Supportinglaundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, andorganising nursery linen
• Assisting withwashing up and maintaining cleanliness within kitchenareas
• Using cleaningproducts and equipment safely and appropriately
• Monitoringcleaning stock levels and reporting replenishmentrequirements
• Following Health& Safety, COSHH, infection control, and safeguardingprocedures at all times
• Supportingperiodic deep cleaning tasks as required
• Working closelywith the nursery team to ensure a safe and welcomingenvironment for all
